4 Week Throwing Course

These intensive courses are for just two students, giving you lots of support and time on the wheel – you will each have your own wheel throughout and my undivided time and support.

They are held in a relaxed and fun environment in my garden studio in Havenstreet. This course is suitable for complete beginners or for those wanting to refine existing skills, and all ages are welcome. You will learn all the essential skills of wedging, centring, throwing different forms, turning and pulling handles. Each week you will learn new skills building your knowledge of clay. By the end of the four weeks you will feel more confident to throw independently. Throwing is a craft requiring hours of practice: you may wish to join one of my weekly workshops to continue with your newfound love of pottery.

The price of this workshops includes all materials and equipment, and two of each student’s best pieces from each week will be fired and glazed.

I have some flexibility with timings if Tuesday evenings don’t suit – please just ask.
